Reasons to love N-Acetyl Glucosamine
Protective against sun damage and gently exfoliating, according to research.
N-Acetyl-Glucosamine (NAG) is a precursor to hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid tends to = plumper, healthier, hydrated skin.
Studies have found topical application of NAG can stimulate our skin’s natural production of hyaluronic acid.
When combined with Niacinamide (like in our SPLASH Serum) NAG seems to be extra effective:
– encouraging the synthesis of hyaluronic acid
– reducing the appearance of fine lines and photo damage.
One thing to consider: N-Acetyl-Glucosamine is sourced from shellfish, so if you’re allergic, take it slow and watch for reactions.
